Fall Break

We decided not to go anywhere for the girls' fall break but Daddy took a day off so we could have some adventures.

Thursday morning we headed to Boyce Arboritum to see a plethora of trees and plants. It was a relatively cool morning and we stayed long enough to have a picnic lunch by a fountain.

The eucalyptus grove was my favorite because it smelled so good.

We didn't do it but I found our initials carved in a tree. So cute.

After nap time and an early dinner we headed out again to play some miniature golf compliments of our local library when the kids earned passes from the summer reading program. I think it was a first for all the kids. We lost a couple balls in the water and we flat out skipped a few holes but we had a good time.

On the way home we got some frozen yogurt and stopped by this pumpkin patch stand that was in the same lot. We picked up a roasting pumpkin which is supposed to be the best for eating. Soup will be forth coming.

Friday we went to Nana's house, though she wasn't home, and went for the last swim of the year. Great Gma E was there to keep us company. The water was so cold that I only went in into my waist and was relentlessly heckled to get all the way in but I held strong.

Saturday we bummed around the house while Daddy watched 54 football games. In the early evening we had our family pictures taken by a friend. Mr. O following suit of his sisters fell prey to the 2 yr old-refuses-to-stand-still for pictures. We got some really cute ones despite his best efforts.
For dinner we headed to Red Robin so I could get my birthday month free hamburger and afterwards went to Cold Stone ice cream for my BOGO free birthday coupon. It's good to be the birthday girl!

Sunday was our day of rest and finished out our break quite nicely.
