On Feb 3rd E turned 3 years old. My little baby is getting so big. Even though she's tall and is mistaken for a 4 or 5 year old all the time it is still hard to believe she's not my squidgy faced infant anymore. She loves to sing and make up songs, play dress up and then dance at herself in the mirror, loves to have us read to her, loves to watch animated movies and can remember all of the characters 'names (she has an astounding memory) and is excited to meet and help with her new baby sister.

We alternate her birthdays between a small family party and larger friend parties. This year was just for family. She waited by our front window waiting for her cousins so she could open presents and have cake and ice cream. She got 2 fun books, 2 cute dresses, 2 care bears, a back pack and a few other small gifts (not a bad stash if you ask me). She was thrilled about all of them though she ripped through each gift bag in search of the next gift. She's 3 so we expected that.

Apparently J and his siblings grew up with a "You Are Special Today" plate that they used on Bdays. We inherited one and thought we would start the tradition in our family. E loved it and her blue (requested) Bday cake. Turns out she prefers the frosting and ice cream over the cake-go figure.
Happy Birthday Big Girl! We love you and are so proud of you!!Update on the bedroom post: E decided she wanted her "old" room back with the newly painted circles so we made the switch last weekend. She actually seems happier in the familiar space, so baby #2 will now get he butterfly room. I say, whatever works!
